My name is Anais Leal and I am an undergraduate sophomore at Cornish College of the Arts. I major in operatic performance, and it is my ultimate goal to succeed in a career doing just this. Recently I was honored to be accepted into the Berlin Opera Academy summer conservatory and further offered a role in two operas BOA would be showcasing in Germany’s well known ‘Opernfest’. The program offered me an opportunity to audition for company agents with the possibility of a beginner contract or further training with prestigious institutions. Opera has been my sole passion since I heard Lucia Popp sing the Queen of the Night’s famous act 2 aria at the age of six (yes, six-I was a weird kid). I would be so grateful for any contribution to the fund that will allow me to attend this program and potentially be the first step to my success in furthering my artistry and career.

My technique and performance are not perfect but this is the blessed video that secured me a spot in the prestigious program and I only hope to improve on what is displayed!
