Hi! My name is Allyssa and my daughter Ana is an amazing kid! I know what you are thinking... Every mom says that about their kid and you're right! But let me tell you a little about what makes MY kid so amazing! At the small age of 3 years old, Ana discovered the amazing world of gymnastics. What started off as a way to release a lot of energy soon turned into drive and passion. Her coaches noticed her ability to listen and learn on top of her natural talent. She soon entered the world of competitive gymnastics. She started competing at level 1 in a local league where she worked really hard. Her hard work was paying off because at almost all of her competitions, she would walk away with the first place all-around title! Her first year, she suffered a minor setback after fracturing her leg, but she wouldn't let that stop her! She competed in her first-year league championships IN A CAST! Her second and third year, she came back stronger, taking the title of Level 2 and Level 3 league 1st place champion! Ana had finally earned her way into competing in her first year as an official USAG (United States Association of Gymnastics) gymnast! This was now the "big leagues"! She worked so hard to master many challenging skills on all 4 apparatuses. Many of her coaches and teammates underestimated her achievements due to her young age and small size. She proved so many people wrong by being one of seven girls her age to qualify for state championships and earn the bronze medal in vault!
Not only is Ana an astonishing gymnast by skill, she is a team player by showing positive and encouraging sportsmanship to her fellow teammates and others. She listens and respects all who coach her. Ana also attends full-time public school where she earns straight As and scores as one of the top students in her class in both reading and math.
We are asking for donations to cover Ana's gymnastics competition fees, travel expenses, and apparel costs so Ana can continue to do what she loves! Who knows... we might look up to see her on ESPN or the Olympics one day!
