I would like to share with you a snippet of what we are living right now.
Since 2020, the time we came to India, school has always been a delicate subject for our kids. Isaque, with the limitations of the pandemic, got a scholarship to study in a school in Knoxville, Tennessee and and he is now in college. We came to the conclusion after some time that for Ana Julia, homeschooling was the best option.
Ana Júlia has alaways been a great student and always loved to go to school. At the time we moved, Ana was very keen to go to school, so we decided to enroll her in an Indian school, but that was a frustrating experience.
Covid and her adapting to the indian school system made it hard and traumatic. The best and only solution for the of 2023-2024 academic year was get back to homeschooling. We had a few teachers coming home to teach her at home, extracurricular classes, Piano, Mathematics, and also she did a teacher’s training which she used to volunteer as a teacher in our ministry at New Cycle.
Ana Julia always strived to do everything with dedication and excellence. Recently, we were reaching out to friends about homeschooling resources. We were pleasantly surprised with an invitation to enroll her in the same school her brother, Isaque, studied at in Tennessee. After a lot of praying and conversations as a family, we decided to begin the enrollment process and take care of details for a scholarship.
So after a long wait, we got an almost 100% scholarship by God’s grace. And here we are, in the need of raising the necessary resources and funds so that our girl can have the quality and resources to complete the two remaining years of highschool. Ana Julia is only 15 years old but we see enough maturity in her to move forward in her two remaining years before she prepares to go to college.
