Just yesterday, on 22 July, my son Daniel was in a serious accident. He broke his wrist, leg, and ankle. His injuries are extensive, and right now, he’s unable to sit. He’s scheduled for surgery next Monday, but only if we can raise the necessary funds. The procedure is complex due to how severely the bones were fractured.

This has been a heartbreaking journey for our family. Sadly, I too am facing my own medical challenge: I fractured my wrist and need surgery as well. My operation is planned for 1 August and will be followed by physiotherapy to restore mobility.

We live in Venezuela, where access to quality medical care comes at a high cost. The total amount needed for both surgeries, medications, and post-operative care is $4000 USD (£2900).

Ayer, 22 de julio, mi hijo Daniel sufrió un accidente grave. Se fracturó la muñeca, la pierna y el tobillo. Sus lesiones son muy delicadas y, en este momento, ni siquiera puede sentarse. Su cirugía está programada para el próximo lunes, pero solo si logramos reunir los fondos necesarios. El procedimiento es complejo debido a la gravedad de las fracturas.
