Greetings traveller! My name is Ana and I'm the sole nerd behind Nightjar's Rest Studio! I am a South Wales based indie board game designer and freelance artist/writer with a degree in Game Art, and a lifelong love of all things gaming related.

This week, after months of hard work, I recieved news that I'm being given the opportunity to take my first ever board game "Trouble Brewing" to demo at UK Games Expo May 29-31st 2026!! This is SO exciting, and it's the break I've been waiting for which could help my business take off, and the eventual Kickstarter campaign be a success.

As incredible as this opportunity is though, it does come with substantial costs, and as a business with very low income who is just starting out in the industry, it's seeming close to impossible. I am so incredibly passionate about my game, and I want nothing more than to share this and future projects with the world in the hope that it brings people joy, so any donations to help get me on the road to UKGE would be invaluable.

As a quick breakdown;

Starter Stand: £373.20

Local Hotel: £623.30

Prototype Game: £150 per copy

Petrol: £60

Table/Furniture: £100+

Advertisement banners/signage: £50-£200

Plus, there's considerations like the extra exhibitor tickets, food, and payment for my helpers who will be helping me source materials, build the stand, run the sales, and demo the game for the duration of the weekend...
