I started this fundraiser because time and time again Ana has come to the aid of so many of us in the COI community. Now Ana needs us.
Ana was diagnosed on 12/16/2020. After her biopsy she was given the diagnosis of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma with the Her2Positive Gene - breast cancer. She was told that she would have to have 3 months of Chemo with Taxol and then every 3 weeks a shot of Herceptin along with the chemo.
After her chemo was completed she took numerous scans and tests and had her surgery on 5/13/2021. 5 weeks after her chemo was completed on 4/9/2021. During this period of time she had had ER visits so much pain.
Now, she starts radiation. She restarts her Herceptin on 6/4 for the rest of the year and then she is going to meet the Radiation Oncologist on 6/8. The doctor will do a scan on her to determine the length of the Radiation time.
Ana is a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is the most loving, kindest and funniest person. I would love to take the burden of her medical expenses off her mind.
