Please help Kathie beat cancer!

Our dear friend Kathie Lahm needs prayers and financial support to help her win her battle with cancer.
Two months ago Kathie checked herself in to be seen at the very place she works. She wasn't feeling well and felt a little short of breath. Little did she know, a very special doctor and dear friend she trusted had heartbreaking news to give her....a lung mass.
Kathie is 64 years old and has worked the last 7 1/2 years as a Patient Service Representative in the Emergency Room. Her dedication and concern for others shows during every shift she works: she hands out warm blankets, hugs family members who have just experienced the unimaginable, transports women to Labor and Delivery, and many other things, all the while keeping an eye on every patient in the waiting room! When Kathie is working, we all know our day will be a little better because she will be there to assist in any way she can and you will inevitably hear her laugh or see her infectious smile!
Kathie also worked for Piedmont Airlines (and US Air) from 1988-2006 on the ramp at BWI, PHI, ATL, DCA and Greensboro.
Her visit to her own ER launched her on a medical rollercoaster ride that's included multiple tests and procedures to determine exactly what type of lung cancer she has, and if it has spread. She faces more tests, procedures, chemotherapy, radiation and possibly surgery.
She's worked as much as she can, around her tests and medical appointments. Once she begins chemotherapy, she can not risk being around sick patients, and will not be able to work. Her medical bills and out of pocket expenses are already piling up.
Kathie has 4 children, 7 grandchildren and many friends and coworkers who are all devastated by such an unexpected diagnosis. Even facing this devastating news, Kathie has been incredibly strong and positive. So many have reached out, wanting to know how they can help and support. Kathie needs the same compassionate support that she has given so many. It is hard and humbling for her, but she needs loving support immediately to help her with all aspects of her bills. A donation of any size would go a long way. Thank you for taking your time to read this. Thank you for any support you can offer, including sharing this story with your circle of influence. You are greatly appreciated..... and please keep Kathie in your prayers.
