We have started this fundraiser as a group of Somerville Public School parents on behalf of a Somerville neighbor. Due to recent changes in the TPS program (Temporary Protected Status program for workers who are immigrants), this person's ability to continue living and working in Somerville is now at risk. This person's child, who is a U.S. citizen, is working on a legal petition for them to be able to remain in Somerville. This fundraiser will go to support legal fees for this process.
