Today, we're reaching out with a plea for Louis, a 12-year-old one-of-a-kind Belgian Warmblood whose spirit is as enduring as his name is illustrious. Louis (short for Louis Vuitton), once a graceful Level 2 Dressage Horse, stole the show every time he entered the ring with his poise and beauty.

Unfortunately, Louis's world turned upside down during the global pandemic. Sidelined from the life he knew, he developed white line disease and later, the debilitating laminitis, which causes him pain even when he's simply standing.

Louis's story is tinged with more sadness. His doting owner, who loved him since he was born, also owned his mother and sister. She passed away in 2021, leaving Louis behind at the ranch where she had been boarding him.

But Louis's tale doesn't end there. Hope shines brightly in the darkest of times, and right now, hope for Louis lies in the possibility of his rehabilitation. However, to make this a reality, we need your support.

Louis's immediate needs are as follows:

* A comprehensive vet exam, including X-rays and bloodwork: $1000

* Special boots and farrier care: $800 every 8 weeks

* Consistent monthly care: $1,100 per month including special care, medicine, and essential health supplements.
