Help an Injured Cat Get Urgent Medical Care
Donation protected
On November 18th, I had a friend reach out to me about an injured cat. The kitty had been missing for 3 months. The family thought they would never see her again. By some miracle she finally made her way home. As excited as they were to see her, they were horrified at what they seen.
Sadly, the right side of her had sustained a terrible injury. From looking at the wounds it appears that she may have been attacked by a wild animal. Although, they would love nothing more than to take her to the vet to receive the medical treatment she needs, they do not have the financial needs.
My friend asked me if I could possibly take her in and tend to her wounds. If I could give her a fighting chance. Needless to say, I ended up taking her in later that evening to see what I could do.
My first step was to access the wound and clean it. She did so well with this, I decided to attempt to shave the fur around the injuries. This would allow me to clean the wound better, see the injuries better and help with preventing an infection. She did great with this! Once this was done, I then put antibiotic ointment on her injuries and then wrapped the wounded area.
Unfortunately, this evening when I went to clean the wounds again and treat them, she had puss coming out of one. I fear if I don't get her to the vet for professional medical treatment, she won't make it.
Please know that every donation, is greatly appreciated!
