Help an Indigenous Trans Woman Rebuild Her Life

Donation protected
My name is Hannah. I am a disabled indigenous mixed trans woman (Jewish and Monacan). On March 17th, 2023, I was evicted by my abusive partner, who gave me 12 hours of notice to remove myself from her home with nowhere to go. I left her apartment with everything I own fitting into a backpack. I've relocated to Philadelphia and am living in the home of a friend until the lease is up on the 31st of May. While I am blessed to have my essentials provided for right now in the form of housing and food, I need funds to rebuild my life in Philadelphia. I need clothes; I need to find a permanent housing situation; I need ways to pay for my medication and medical bills; I need my own bed to sleep on.

My priorities are money for basic essentials:
  • Clothes
  • Food
  • Housing
  • A computer to do schoolwork on
  • Medical care
  • Costs involved in changing schools + tuition.

If I can, it would mean the world to me to be able to have the means to complete my education and become a librarian in my new community. I am doing what I can to heal from this trauma and my friends and loved ones are moving heaven and earth to keep me safe. But I need help making ends meet and being able to rebuild my life and move out of survival mode.

Anything you can give helps. I'm heartbroken and scared in a new city I've never lived in before. Your support will change my life. I appreciate it so much and thank you for doing what you can.

With love,
Hannah C
