Dear Friends and Family,
It has come to our attention that a family within our HB community has been challenged in recent months - beyond our current COVID crisis - and could benefit greatly from our communal support and generosity. This is a family that has been within the HB community for over a decade and has always gone above and beyond to help on committees, volunteer in classrooms, and assist the administration whenever possible. They have been advocates within the school, for teachers and students alike, when they felt they could lend their time and insights and now they need our help.
Tragically, one of the children in this family has fallen seriously ill and requires medical care outside of Ohio. As a result, one parent has had to leave their job to attend to her care. The second parent is now tasked with the job of attending to their additional children while simultaneously struggling to find meaningful work. While the family has asked to respect their privacy, several of us are working to give back - in small but meaningful ways - to this wonderful family. As we all know, the holidays can be challenging even in the best of times, and this is a particularly challenging period for all of us. However, if you are able, please consider a gift in kind to help during this holiday season and provide them with a cushion for 2022. Any amount is appreciated and no gift is too small.
Respectfully,
"The Elves"
