Help an expecting Mother Recover from a Car Theft

Donation protected
On July 6, 2025, I was the victim of a car theft at Big Dan's Car Wash. What should have been simple, routine stop turned into a traumatic and deeply unsettling experience had just finished cleaning my vehicle and stepped away for only a brief moment to retrieve my floor mats from the auto cleaning machine just 5 feet away.. In that split moment, my car was stolen right from the lot. I was just steps away. It all happened so fast, I could hardly process what just happened.
I am 32 weeks pregnant. As a pregnant woman nearing the end of my third trimester, the emotional and physical impact of this incident is overwhelming. The sense of violation, fear, and helplessness I felt in that moment, and still feel now, is difficult to put into words. My daughters, both 3 & 4, usually enjoy helping me clean my car. My children were in the car with me just 20 minutes prior to the theft but thankfully I decided I'd wash my car on my own today and took them to daycare. The suspect did not care to even look if there were children in the carseats to begin with.
I am speaking out because I believe others should be aware that even in seemingly safe, well-lit, and busy public spaces, things like this can still happen in seconds. Even in a place we call home, Kissimmee. Streets we are all familiar with, 192, Thacker, W Iro bronson.
I am cooperating fully with law enforcement.
Most importantly, I want people to understand that no one deserves to experience this. I'd like to express my deepest sympathy for all involved. I was not made aware of what ensued after the theft until 6 hours later. Police refused to provide details while I was at the carwash pressing charges. I heard the officers radio communicating an accident. So I asked again. The officer said they were unsure if that accident was connected to my vehicle. My stomach pain worsened at the idea of innocent drivers being involved. Law enforcement stated our priority was my statement and treatment for stomach pain for the safety of my unborn son. I was then taken to the hospital.
At this moment my children's car seats are needing to be replaced. An infant car seat, booster seat, and toddler car seat. My sons size 1 & 2 diapers have glass that ruptured through the packs. I'm left without transportation for my children. A vehicle is most important for us as all three mainly rely on me. I have missed work due to this incident. I am used to standing right back up after I fall, but with my sons due date approaching I am reaching out to my community to ask for any kind of support possible. Thank you for hearing me out. I ask that God give us peace and recovery both physically and emotionally.
