Help an English Transfemme Avoid Homelessness
Donation protected
Update 3: Nor is moving into her new apartment this weekend due to everyone’s help. It took a little while longer than expected, as she had to build credit back up. She’s been able to get her hormones, as well as necessities (food, hygiene, etc).
She’s committed to paying the generosity bestowed on her to others she sees struggling. Thank you again to everyone who helped out.
Update 2: Hey everyone! At $1,500 right now which is great! This means Nor is looking at apartments, and ready to move out when her first paycheck hits. We both greatly appreciate the support you all give.
Update: $1,200 has been an incredible amount of support and I, more importantly Nor, thank you so much.
Nor is an English-born transfemme, recently forced to move back to England from S/E Michigan, leaving behind her life, community, and belongings behind in an attempt to find a job, earn income and prevent herself from being homeless. Unfortunately, with no money and no place to go, she was forced to move-in with her abusive parents. In the 6 weeks that she has been living there, she has been the target of getting shouted at, deadnamed, misgendered and threatened with eviction nearly every day. Her parents repeatedly violate her privacy by going through her stuff, trying to find things that would provide an excuse for them to kick her out.
Nor has secured a job in Liverpool but does not start until mid September, meaning it would be late October or November until she can get her own place. Her mental health has declined due to the way she is treated and is unsustainable.
Any generosity would be piloted towards getting Nor getting housing, internet, hormones and food until her pay from her new job comes in. Thank you.
(I’m hosting this fundraiser on US GoFundMe to be more locally visible to her community back in the US. Transfer and GoFundMe fees will be covered by myself out-of-pocket).
