02/09/21: Thank you SO much to EACH and EVERY one of you for helping us reach our goal. We’ve been advised to raise the bar to account for high ICU costs so Carmen can heal without financial stress. We can’t thank you all enough for what you’ve done for her!

Hi there, my name is Alexa Greer and I was born in raised in Tucson, AZ. My aunt, Carmen works as a Health Assitant in a Middle School here in Tucson, AZ. She loves her students with a passion and has continually shown up for her students throughout the pandemic for in-person support as an essential worker.
Unfortunately, she contracted COVID-19 in mid-January and has since been admitted to the ICU and put on a ventilator on 01/26. The money you donate would go directly towards any medical bills associated with her care at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. If you know Carmen, you know that she is fighting hard to beat this. We can't wait to have her out and recovering. We've set a goal to raise money within 30 days to cover immediate expenses as they occur.
I am asking for your compassion and generosity to assist us in helping to pay for her medical bills and aftercare. There's a chance she may require oxygen or therapy during her recovery period, but that is yet to be determined. From my research, I saw the estimated cost of ICU care can be as high as 10k a day, so we are grateful for ANYTHING you can contribute.
