I've been a good creative writer since 6th grade. Now, my dream is to become a published author in my retirement years. Two of my stories have recently been accepted for a hybrid publishing contract where I am being asked to pay a small proportion of the costs of publication. As a single woman on a fixed income, I can't see my way to raise the necessary funds for a legal adviser, the necessary contract fees, and the travel costs for promoting my books. It would be a dream come true if I could get help to jump-start a late-blooming career that I love! My first book accompanies a 6-year-old girl as she discovers for herself the wonder and beauty of diversity. The second depicts the mysterious, transformative power of suffering through an ancient Chinese parable.

As a two-time cancer survivor, I dream that this book will be of great therapeutic value to all those whom I've met along the road through diagnosis and treatment, besides being a beautifully illustrated bamboo forest and fruitful rice field.
