On Wednesday, July 23rd, my mom fell and severely injured her arm, knee, and foot. She will be undergoing surgery on the 29th to join the multiple fragments of her humerus bone together. She is a native ASL signer, interpreting for over 30 years and very active in Deaf Community. Her surgeon estimates that she won't be able to return to the long work days of rigorous signing she is used to for roughly 3-4 months. She may be eligible for short-term disability through her employment, which has a waiting period, but eventually covers half of her pay. I am hoping to raise funds to cover 3 months of her living expenses and bills while she is out of work. Any additional funds raised will go towards living expenses beyond the first 3 months of recovery.
