Help an Arlington Teacher Find a New Home

Hi Everyone!

I'm a local Arlington resident and I've lived in town since 2008. I really enjoy living here and would like to stay. I've been living in my current apartment since 2018, which I moved into shortly after my beloved Dad passed away from cancer. It's been an emotional roller coaster for me. I adopted my two emotional support animals to assist me in the grieving and healing process. It has been a long journey for me, but their love and support has kept me going.

I'm reaching out to the community because I'm facing a housing hardship and would like your financial support. I've been actively looking for a 1BR in Arlington with heat, hot water, laundry, etc. I'm pressed for time, but I currently don't have the necessary funds to pay for a broker's fee, first month's rent, security deposit, and moving costs. My lease ended in June and I've been doing a month-to-month agreement for July and August. Unfortunately, I need to vacate my apartment at the end of next month.

I am a preschool teacher and my salary barely covers my monthly rent and other bills. I've been looking high and low and have seen units that would be suitable, but I can only pray that I find the right apartment and the necessary funds to move. I'm reaching out to the community in hopes that the generosity, support, and love will help during my hardship. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
