Hi, my name is Catie, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my mom, Rosemary. My Mom is one of those unique people who truly lives to care for others. She’s been a full-time hospice nurse, offering comfort, dignity, and love to patients and families in their most vulnerable moments. People often call her an "angel on earth", and they’re right. Her generosity and kindness extend to everyone in her life and she does not expect anything in return.

A few months ago, my Mom was diagnosed with a type of cancer that requires aggressive and invasive treatment. Like a true warrior, she continued working full-time to care for her patients until she physically could not. Stepping back from work was extremely challenging as my Mom has spent her entire life in service to others. As her daughter, I’ve watched her face every part of this with strength and grace. But I’ve also seen how hard it is for her to accept help. Like so many nurses, she's used to being the caregiver and healer—not the patient.

Soon, her FMLA and FAMLI benefits will expire, which means she’ll be left without any income. On top of that, she’s facing mounting medical bills that insurance won’t fully cover. That’s why I’m asking for help to offset the cost of her treatment and daily living expenses. I want my Mom to recover without the heavy burden of financial stress on her shoulders. This diagnosis is not the end of my mom’s story, it is a powerful pause. She looks forward to returning to the work she loves, but right now she needs your support.
