Fellow Angels, it is not easy to ask for help, life has a way of sending challenges to test our strength and humility. I am a happy, loving, giving, Soul, in the midst of very challenging life changes. While walking down the street, having a wonderful day, I had no idea, that a week later I would Wakeup from a Coma. An ICU nurse explained to me that at 4pm a week ago, I was run over and dragged by a car while in the crosswalk -pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics and LAPD. A friend I was meeting, and who was looking for me, came across the accident, saw my sweater on the ground and the paramedics to not give up on me and to keep pumping on my chest or she would. They pulled me out from under the car and performed CPR, stapled my head back together and rushed me to Northridge Hospital. The emergency room fixed my broken left leg, broken left shoulder, ribs and c-1 fracture, sowed my head back together and induced a Coma to prevent brain swelling. 3 hospitals and 4 months later, I was able with my trusty walker , to make it back to my little RV, which I lived in. Now that RV was not looked after, so it got ransacked, robbed, and lived in by a few people and Rats while parked on the street. With broken leg and shoulder I began attempting to still make the most of being Alive. My mind that came back truly Believes that I can do everything, My body however is not in full agreement. Replacing broken door and windows, setting traps for resident rats that lived on my "End of the World" food storage became over whelming. I had to sanitize, sterilize and realize that I needed Help. The Rodents scared me into my car for many nights. Months later after catching 9 hamster sized rats on traps -I was finally able to have a good night's sleep in my own bed. Walking slightly sideways with the help of physical therapy and my trusty cane I was able to drive. Shortly after, while driving my car, It decided that after 20 years and 200,000 miles I had got my monies worth. Thanks Acura for a great Car. After causing the worst LA Hwy traffic Jam, and being towed off the hwy, still smiling I realized once more that I might need Help. There is a whole lot more, But really friends, I am a bit at wits end -struggling with lawyers, doctors, and Insurance companies, and learning How to Live again. Even writing this is very humbling. I am very aware that many are experiencing difficult times right now. My Doctor reminds me that I am a "Miracle" Walking and your Donation today will assist an Angel strengthen her Wings and returning to a vibrant vehicle of Loving and Happiness.
My last name has really been put to the test. Nothing is promised except each moment.
Love,
Ana Maria Faith
