Hello, my name is Caitlin and my husband Keith Siegman was recently involved in an accident that resulted in his left leg being amputated above the knee and his right leg permanently damaged. The surgeon and Doctor are still not sure how much mobility he will have with his right leg or how it will function/heal. The surgeon has not ruled out amputating the right leg as well.
This was a completely unexpected and unforseen accident that will FOREVER change my husband's life.
He has been in the ICU for over a month already and has had 2 surgeries per week since his admission. It is anticipated he will remain in ICU another month. Once he discharges from ICU, he will be transferred to an accute hospital setting next for several months to continue with weekly surgeries and healing.
My husband may never walk again which is the hardest part of all of this for him mentally. He is really struggling with seeing any light at the end of this journey.. Please help him to purchase a scooter for the disabled and the necessary ramps/ that will allow him to get around and have some independence. As my husband and I are both out of work, any donations would be greatly appreciated.
He needs your support though he would never ask for it. I am asking on his behalf.
My husband deserves the opportunity to be moble and to regain some independence after laying in a hospital bed for over a month and loosing his leg.
God bless you and thank you for taking the time to read this.
