Help An Amazing First Responder

On June 10, 2019, our world changed. My husband, Bill Stevenson, who has spent the last 45+ years in the Police/Fire/EMS profession suffered a stroke. His right arm/leg and his speech have been affected. Currently he is at Wake Medical Center Rehab trying to learn how to regain some of his independence. Although he has made progress (he is my hero), he still has a long journey ahead of him. For someone that has spent most of his life helping others, it is very hard for him to accept that he now needs help.
Bill is coming home in a couple of weeks, in a wheelchair -- for how long is unknown. Coming home in a wheelchair brings with it challenges. We have to get a ramp built to get into our home, we have to be able to transport his motorized wheelchair and make accommodations to our home to ensure that he can continue to live an independent life.
These are huge expenses which is why we need your help.
I want to close by thanking everyone for the love and prayers that have been coming our way. We know that "God's got this".
Thank you.
Melissa
