Help an amazing family on a hard journey.
One of the most caring, selfless and giving families that I know is on a rough journey. Bernadette Ross Brockman, John Brockman and their family's story began back in April. They found out their son, Shea, needed open heart surgery to correct a congenital valve defect. They had to fight with their insurance to receive the best care and had to travel out of state. The closest surgeon was at USC in Los Angeles. The procedure was done on June, 23rd, 2021. After a month of a difficult recovery, they learned that the procedure was unsuccessful and it needs to be repeated. The second surgery is schedule for this Friday. Two open heart surgeries in a five week span! Even though it is so discouraging to have to repeat the whole ordeal, Shea maintains a great attitude and is determined to recover in time to get back to school in the fall. Financially, the worst part for them has been the expensive extended time away from home. Please help this amazing family if you can. Even sending encouraging words of love and strength would be so helpful to them.
