For my Bat Mitzvah service project, I decided to start a fundraiser to help children in rural South Africa receive a quality education.  I first made a connection with African Angels in 2016 when my friend first started volunteer teaching there. The children range in age from five to fourteen. They have limited resources and are in high need of many items. I have made them bracelets, written them letters, and sent a suitcase full of clothes that didn’t fit me anymore. My initial goal is to raise enough money to provide them with essential supplies. My ideal goal is to raise enough money to sponsor two children's school fees and personal needs for an entire year. Proceeds and donations will be taken to the school this July and delivered in person by my friend.
