Help an Afghan ally get back on the road

My name is Antonia Siebert and I am part of a small team that volunteered to assist an Afghan family in Stafford, Virginia. Mohammed Hafiz is living in his sister's basement with his wife and 2 boys (one is 7 years old, the other is 16 months). He worked for the Afghan government and came to the United States as part of Operation Allies Refuge. He has a part-time job and is receiving employment training and assistance from a local aid agency to find a full-time job more suited to his skills. He bought a used car by borrowing $10K from his brother-in-law, and now that car needs an expensive repair. Despite assurances from the private seller that the car had never been in an accident, there is significant damage to the radiator that looks suspiciously like it was involved in a front-end collision and the whole cooling system is compromised. Stafford Virginia is a lovely place but it's hard to manage without a reliable car. Please help Mohammad get his car fixed. The estimate for the repair (from Progressive Automotive and Tire on Doc Stone Road) is $2526; I set our goal as $2600 to cover the GoFundMe fees. I am confident that once he gets on his feet he will soon be self-sufficient, but he has had one setback after another and needs a bit of a boost right now. Any amount is welcome.
