My family and I recently took in a dog who was abandoned near my father's workplace. My dad saw someone dump something from a car, and when he went to check, he found a scared, limping dog left behind. The dog waited there all day until my dad finished work, and he couldn't leave him behind. We brought him home, hoping to give him a second chance at a happy life.

Today, I took the dog to the vet, where we learned that his leg is broken in two places and the bones are displaced. The vet explained that surgery is needed to put the broken pieces back together so he can heal properly and hopefully walk on all four legs again. It's heartbreaking to see him in pain, but we're determined to do everything we can to help him recover.
