Help Amy’s Children!

Donation protected

This is a place where friends & family of Amy Powell can support her children by donating to help them financially during this difficult time. Her children are going to need an amazing support system, donating/sharing/volunteering makes you part of that.

Amy was a loving single mother of 3 beautiful children who mean everything to her (Noah 17, Ruby 14 & Scarlett 3). She lived with me (Sara Delansig), my husband Jofrey & our son Maddox along with her daughters (part time) & her significant other, Josh Lingle. The gaping hole her presence has left in our home is indescribable. We also worked together at Club Wealth, where she was a very loved & respected member of the Sales Team. Her coworkers decided to put this Go Fund Me together originally to help pay Amy’s bills since she was in the hospital for over a month. Since she passed, all funds will be divided up evenly between her children & put in to a trust that they can access upon their 18th birthday’s.

She came down with covid symptoms on Saturday, May 22nd, the same day she was vaccinated. She thought her symptoms were just a reaction to the J&J vaccine. After several days, her condition deteriorated & it was clear she needed medical attention. I took her to the Urgent Care, albeit begrudgingly (thanks to her sister Nina who insisted she go), where they determined she had pneumonia in both lungs & sepsis. The Urgent Care Doctor told me to get her to the ER immediately b/c fighting sepsis was very time sensitive.

I took her to the Auburn Hospital where she was admitted & began treatment. They moved her to the ICU 2 days later b/c her oxygen levels dropped & she was struggling to breath. She was put in a medically induced coma in the early hours of May 30th to get her on a ventilator b/c her body was not healing on its own. Sadly, she was never able to come off the ventilator & her organs began to shut down. She died peacefully around 1am on June 28th 2021.

Her children meant everything to her. That was clearly evident when Josh & I got to see her (almost exactly 24 hours before she passed). The tattoo on her back with her children’s names was fully exposed & the 1st thing you’d see when you looked at her. If anyone would like to help out by bringing meals or other acts of service to her children rather than donate here, please reach out to me on Facebook Messenger or leave a comment. Every little bit helps.

Amy’s memorial service will likely be several weeks from now (possibly longer). Her sister Nina & her brother Bob are handling the logistics of that. We will post on Facebook when we have more details.

Thank you for everyone that has already helped out, your generosity is much appreciated. Please keep her family in your thoughts & prayers while we are all grieving this devastating loss. The world will never be the same without Amy.
