My name is Lisa Killion, and Amy has been one of my dearest friends since the day I met her 13+ years ago. We've had many adventures together, and now our adventure has turned a bit more serious. She was apprehensive to ask for help, but I am making her do this because I know how many people love her.

 Support for Amy’s Breast Cancer Journey

Our dear friend Amy Gines has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and is beginning the difficult journey of chemotherapy and radiation. She will be receiving one of the strongest chemotherapy drugs, often called the “Red Devil.” While this treatment is powerful, it also brings harsh side effects.

One of Amy’s wishes during this time is to preserve her sense of self as much as possible. To do this, she hopes to use cooling caps (to help reduce hair loss) as well as cooling gloves and booties (to protect her hands and feet from the effects of chemo). Unfortunately, these items are not covered by insurance and come at a significant personal cost.

We are raising funds to help cover these expenses so Amy can focus on what matters most — fighting and healing.
