Hello friends,

I am in a first time, horrible situation of homelessness after moving cross-country back to Portland, to be near my new grandson. The housing situation I arranged before coming out here has fallen through. I am urgently trying to find work, but I am completely out of funds except for food stamps. Unfortunately, my family is not able to help, but I’m praying some can.

I’m blessed to have just gotten a vehicle, and now need help with registration, gas, and daily needs to go find work, and travel to my doctor appointments. I am also trying to raise money for first and last month’s rent and security deposit.

Here's a breakdown of my goal, for a month of expenses:

$2000 Rent/move in fees
$350 car registration
$150 car insurance
$200 gas
$200 mattress/desk/furniture
$100 daily needs & toiletries

I am frantically searching for work and housing. If anyone has any leads for a job or a place to stay, even if it’s something one-off or temporary, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I have years of experience in customer service, and I am a jack of all trades in general. I just had major surgery a few weeks ago, so I am looking for desk work if possible.

This is scary and horribly embarrassing. I’ve been so used to helping people my whole life that it’s taking everything to ask for help now. Anything helps if you are able. Even if you can’t contribute money, if you’d be able to share this on social media so it gets out to more people, I’d be so grateful.

Sending positivity, love and respect to all!
