On Friday, August 1, 2025, I received a call that would break my heart. The night before, the house that was my grandparent's, where my aunt Amy was still living, had caught fire and burned down. Aunt Amy had been asleep but woke up during the fire. She had to be life-flighted to Denver, where she started in the burn ward with severe smoke inhalation and burns to her larynx and lungs. Once at the hospital, Amy started having AFIB attacks to her heart, so she had to have an ablation to get that to stop. Since then, she has gotten so much better, to the point she was discharged and able to go and live with her brother while finding a new place to live. The fire was so bad that very little was salvageable from the house, so now Amy is starting totally over. If you're able to help at all, it would be much appreciated.
