Hey, my friends…
I really need your help for a very dear friend of mine! Amy Smith is one of the hardest working women I have ever known…and she is in the midst of a huge medical crisis. She would never ask for help herself… and I totally get that… so, I’m gonna do it for her. ❤️
Amy has just been diagnosed with a serious neuromuscular autoimmune disease and cannot even walk without assistance. It is also affecting her arms and hands. There is much pain involved… and it just breaks my heart every time I visit and see this very strong and independent woman struggle to just go to the bathroom.
The good news is there is treatment for it that her insurance has just approved: IVIG. She will start this, at least six-month treatment, in the first two weeks of November.
Amy is a vibrant and successful commission salesperson at a local designer outlet. But, she has been out of work for five months now with no income. She is a single-income family with a dog and a cat. She has been relying on friends and family to get through, as her disability benefits are still yet to be approved. (The average wait is 8 months, according to an SSID attorney we spoke with). She is at the breaking point and needs our help.
Frankly, both Amy and I are loathe to ask for this kind of help. We were taught that you always help others first. So, this is a big leap of faith and humility… and I hope you understand. Please help with whatever you can… with your name or anonymously. Your support is valued and cherished more than I can express in words. ❤️
P.S. This pic is of Amy at her physical, mental, and emotional best! She has worked so hard the last few years to shed the weight, get healthy… and improve her life. She wants desperately to have this life back.
