Help Amy replace her stolen generator
Donation protected
As so many of you already know, my Champion Generator was stolen from my yard in the middle of the night on 3/21/2022. I recently purchased my generator to run my Food Trailer business. Sadly I never even had the chance to use it before it was stolen. Everyday I’d look out my window and see it parked next to my trailer, so excited for the upcoming months to finally kick off my Food Trailers use…but when I looked on Monday morning it wasn’t there. I stared at that spot for minutes in total disbelief because I simply could not imagine it had been taken…not just because it weighs 500 lbs but mostly because I couldn’t imagine anyone could be so calculating, disrespectful and cruel to make a plan to wait until it was dark, sneak onto my property and take it away. As many know, I am still making payments on my generator which has left me in a bit of a bind to now be forced into buying another to replace mine. My Hanks Catering business is my livelihood, it’s how I support myself, and so I am taking the suggestion and asking for help. The feeling of being so violated, so targeted, that I’ve been carrying since this happened has honestly been a little softened by the hundreds of people who have not only offered the most kind words, but as well the willingness to help me by sharing my Facebook posts. These shares of course have been in hopes of catching these thieves but what they have also done is remind me that I am not alone and That people, some who I’ve never even met seem to genuinely care. I filed a police report and although the very helpful officer would have liked to offer me better odds he was honest that it was usually 60%-40% (not in my favor) of ever recovering my generator. This is what I will promise…if by chance it is recovered and still in tact and not damaged beyond repair I will refund your donations (if that is even possible) OR I will take the donations and give the money to animal rescues in RI.
Thank you to everyone who has already offered their help and their words of support, and thank you in advance to any of you who through a friend find out about this and are willing to help! ❤️
