Help Amy Recover From Car Accident
Donation protected
On January 16th, my mom was driving her normal route to work when she was T-boned by an uninsured driver with their lights off. Her T12 vertebrae and sternum are both broken. She’s incredibly lucky to be alive, but has a very long road ahead of her.
She’s been a dog groomer for 20+ years, and for obvious reasons, will not be able to return to work any time soon. She will need a lot of physical therapy and her car is totaled, and because the person who hit her had no insurance, she will get no assistance with the medical bills.
My stepdad and her are hard workers, members of their small town community who paint murals for the girl’s volleyball team and take care of everyone who comes in and out of their home. Six months ago, my stepdad was crushed by a tree while doing yard work for their neighbor who needed a hand, leaving him with multiple fractures that have kept him from going back to work as a railroad engineer.
The past year has been incredibly tough for them, and my hope is that as two people who have always shown up for others, others may be able to show up for them.
