Help Amy Rebuild After Dog Attack Trauma

Everyone who knows Amy knows her love of dogs. For many years, she and her brother adopted and fostered dogs that otherwise had no chance of finding homes - dogs that were often old, shy, or with significant health problems. Unfortunately, three weeks ago, Amy was brutally attacked at her home by her brother's dog. The attack was so severe that only a 911 call and quick response by emergency personnel saved her life. She was immediately transported to a trauma center where she endured seven surgeries. She is still hospitalized and has a long road to recovery.

In the meantime, she is facing mounting expenses for the damage sustained to her home during the attack. A lot of furniture is completely destroyed and needs to be replaced, including her bed and couch. The cleaning company has given an estimate of $8,000.

Amy's dogs are currently at a boarding facility and will stay there until she is discharged from the hospital. She has a lot on her plate, dealing with pain, depression and PTSD on top of the mounting expenses.
