STEM CELL TRANSPLANT DAY — Tuesday, August 12th
This is it — the day we’ve been praying, preparing, and holding on for. It’s a little scary, but our hearts are anchored in hope and faith, trusting that with God, even mountains can move.
“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” — Isaiah 60:22
My journey so far…
In 2020, I was diagnosed with stage 2A Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After months of chemo, labs, and surgeries, I was blessed to hear the word “remission” by the end of that year. Life slowly returned to normal… until last Christmas.
Around December 2024, I noticed a lump on the left side of my neck. Soon came fevers, fatigue, and night sweats that wouldn’t go away. A biopsy confirmed my greatest fear — the cancer had returned.
My care team quickly put together what they called a “salvage plan” — starting with Pembrolizumab injections, followed by more rounds of chemo, all leading up to the most important step: a stem cell transplant.
By God’s grace, I’m able to have an autologous transplant, meaning I can use my own healthy stem cells. They were harvested last week and are now ready to be returned to my body — a fresh start to rebuild my immune system from the ground up. I’ll be in the hospital for about 3–4 weeks, followed by careful recovery at home to prevent infections and complications.
Why I’m reaching out…
This season of treatment and recovery means I won’t be able to work enough to cover the essentials — bills, groceries, housing, and medical costs for my little family. My emergency savings and grants have been exhausted. Asking for help isn’t easy, but it’s necessary.
Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean more than words can express. Every gift — whether spiritual, emotional, or financial — is helping carry us through.
From the depths of my heart, thank you for walking this road with us. We are standing on God’s promise in Isaiah 60:22, trusting that this is the time He has appointed, and believing He will see us through to victory. ❤️
