I’m raising funds toward a new computer for my writing and publishing work. My current computer is ten years old, and the hard drive is slowly dying. It frequently gets stuck, making it difficult to work on my writing and publishing projects. This has made it challenging to keep up with manuscript formatting, research, email, and all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into getting books finished and published.

I’m currently working on two major book projects: 'What the Horses Taught Me,' my novelized testimony/autobiographical work, and the expanded republication of 'Mustangs in the Snow' under its new title, 'Where Broken Things Run Free.' Both are moving toward publication relatively soon — as novels go. My computer is my writing desk, publishing office, research station, manuscript formatting tool, and the place where I handle email, covers, files, and all the publishing platforms needed to get my books out into the world.
