Update on the family.

Baby Oliver was born February 21st, weighing in at 4.4lbs. He is currently in NICU receiving the care he needs to be a strong healthy baby.

The family is so appreciative of all the well wishes and support they have received. But their journey is not yet over. If we could continue to help them so they have gas money for the daily trips to the hospital to be with Oliver as well as support them so they can take care of a few of the other needs that they now have, I know they would be so thankful.

Their focus needs to be on Oliver and what he needs. They say it takes a village. And we can be the village.

So if you can help this little family, it would be a huge blessing.

I'm the proud mom of Mitch and I have the honor of calling his beautiful bride Amy, my daughter-in-law. That also makes me their son's Nana which I'm super thrilled about. Who wouldn't be.

There story isn't really any different from others. They were introduced by Mitchell's best friend. They spent hours talking on the phone and texting. Then Amy came to Mitchell's apartment for dinner one night and they spent even more hours talking. They became amazing friends. Mitch brought Amy to church one Sunday morning. He asked her if she'd like to meet his mom. Can you imagine what it was like for her, meeting his mom the pastor at church. Lol. I loved her immediately - who wouldn't.

Well, 2 years later they were standing in front of me taking vows to love and honor each other, till death do them part. Then about a year and a half later, they found out they were going to be parents. So very exciting!

While they are going to make the absolut most perfect parents ever. Their journey with baby Oliver sure has had its ups and downs. Which has caused them to use vacation and sick time for the many doctor appointments they have needed to have to make sure Oliver was going to be a healthy baby. Through prayers and faith, yes Oliver is healthy. Small but healthy. However his mama has also experienced some unforseen health issues that have given cause of worry for both Amy and baby Oliver. With all the new health issues, Amy has been admitted into the hospital causing her to miss even more work. While her and Oliver's safety and wellbeing are the most important. It has added stress on this new family to be able to meet their financial needs. Medical bills, rent, insurance. You all understand.

So I decided to do something that could possibly be a huge blessing of help for them so they can focus on the health of mama and baby. So if you have the means or feel God leading you to help this little family with a financial gift, know that it will be used to help cover where they need it most.
