Dear Amy LaChance's friends and family,

My name is Virginia LaChance and I am Amy's niece. She is currently in the hospital battling Acute Pancreatitis. For additional details and updates, please visit her Facebook page. I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of Amy, because she is in a precarious financial situation. For a little background, she has been working in the dental field for the last 35+ years. Her journey in this field began with the United States Air Force in 1987. Recently, Amy decided to change jobs and move from Oklahoma to Texas to be closer to family. She started her new position in July, which means since she was NOT covered by her new job's medical insurance, until yesterday. She told me she never thought she'd be in this position. We're looking at 10 days in and out of the ICU with no insurance coverage. That amount has added up to quite a lot, so the family decided a GoFundMe would be the best way to ask for financial assistance for these last several days.

On a personal note, my Auntie Amy is one of the most kind, generous, and genuine people I've had the pleasure of having in my life. She adores anything pink, sparkly, all animals, her family, and friends. Amy goes out of her way to listen and make people feel heard and loved by her. She has truly been a second mom to me, and being my godmother, she took that role to heart. She has touched so many lives with her incredible personality, outlook on life, and winning smile.
