Donation protected
Hi my name is Kayte and I am Amy's big sister.
Amy is one of the kindest, most caring women I know. She is a 39 year old mother to Jamisyn 13 Ruby 12 and Jye 10 and a loving wife to Scott.
On the 30th June Amy found a lump in her breast she went to have it checked thr next day and was sent for a mammogram/ultrasounds result from that appointment was to be booked in for a biopsy.
On July 9th it was confirmed Invasive ductal carcinoma a cancer that began growing in a milk duct and has invaded the fibrous or fatty tissue of the breast outside of the duct.
They had to wait on results for oestrogen, protestors and HER2 receptors.
On 13th July Amy saw her surgeon who had the supplementary report that showed she was negative to all 3 receptors therefore she had triple negative breast cancer a aggressive harder to treat breast cancer. Amy was sent around for a MRI which should activity in her lymph nodes and more tumours in her right breast called multi-focal tumours. On 15th July Amy went to Bendigo for a PET scan, then on 21st of July she had a Echo at Bendigo followed by a needle biopsy to her lymph nodes. Then on the 22nd July meet with oncology team at GV Health. On 23rd July it was confirmed that the cancer was also in her lymph nodes. Monday 26th July started chemo. The plan is to have 16 rounds of chemo which tomorrow Amy will be half way through then she will need to have a double mastectomy followed by radiation then have reconstruction surgery.
Amy has already had time off for appointments treatment and will need to have a lot of time off work for the rest of her treatment and for her surgeries and recovery time.
So I have put together this Go Fund Me as I don't want her to have the added stress of worrying about finances bills etc.
We appreciate all the love and support Amy and her family has been given it means a lot to us all.
