HELP AMY HELP OTHERS

In 2011, I decided to return to college. It has been one of the best and hardest decisions of my life. I knew that I wanted to help more people than I could without my degree and so I went back to college after a long time away to pursue a degree in Social Work. I have had many hurdles to overcome, such as starting with my GPA from 20 years earlier. After proving my diligence, I was granted an appeal to expunge the grades from that year. I currently have a 3.87 GPA. I have attended part-time now for 6 years, while working full time.  I have an amazing group of people, family and friends, that have been an encouragement to me along the way.
I have been notified this month that I am out of the ability to receive anymore financial aid. I have reached my aggregate limit of time/money for my undergraduate degree. I have a year and a half left to go. How can this be you might ask? Well, I went to school for a year right out of High School, didn't do well but met my husband, Charles, and have been with him for almost 30 years now. I obtained a certificate in Medical Transcription right before we had our third child and now the time I have been back at UWM. This adds up to the time limit I can receive any more aid, even a loan.
This brings me to my need for help.
I have a year and a half left of school. I have roughly 31 credits to go yet. At about 630.00 a credit, it is more than I have posted that I need. I receive some tuition reimbursement from work and am pursuing any scholarship opportunities I can.
So, there are the facts of why I need some help. The question is why should you help me?   So, here is who I am. I am a person who loves people and animals of all kinds (well, maybe not all kinds, but most).  I want to see people's lives changed for the better, in every way. I want to see them free from the things, situations, and mind sets that hold them back. I know that I have already been part of this happening in some people's lives.  I want to continue to do this important work that I have been called to do. I don't like to ask for help. In addition to working full-time, and school part-time, I volunteer with a pit bull rescue, facilitate a lady’s support group at church and volunteer with anything else that gets me out in the community. Therefore, I say, when you help me, you really are helping others.
I appreciate your reading this and consideration about donating to my education. I can keep anyone posted that is interested in my progress toward my degree.
Thank you and God bless you.
