hi I’m Amy,
The beginning of the school year is usually such an exciting, busy time—putting up posters on the walls, writing on the board, decorating the classroom, creating word walls, covering bulletin boards with fresh paper, and setting up everything so it feels welcoming for my students. That’s the kind of energy and joy I look forward to every year.
But this year, things are different. Even simple daily living skills—like showering, cooking, or driving—are a challenge, and carrying out my teaching responsibilities has become overwhelming. I’ve already had to go to the doctor at least seven times, and while donations have helped cover those costs, I still find myself struggling. It’s hard to admit and I feel guilty even asking for help, but the truth is I can’t manage this all on my own. Every bit of support helps me get closer to healing and back to the life with my right hand.
