Here’s the thing…

I’m having major ankle surgery on September 17th to correct my chronically unstable ankle and repair damage to my peroneal tendon caused by my last rollover ankle injury. Which also caused an avulsion fracture to the end of my fibula. The recovery from this surgery is long and painful. The first 6-8 weeks will be completely non-weight bearing on the right ankle. Once I’m able to begin trying to put weight on that ankle I’m in for about 9 weeks of PT (twice a week) and perhaps more, if necessary. That’s 4 MONTHS of painful and limited mobility.

During this time, I will be unable to work without pulling focus from my healing. And once I’m medically cleared my journey back to work needs to be slow and gradual until I’m back to my accustomed level of ability. It’s unknown how long this will all take and I could be out of work for 6 months or more. I generally heal well, but this is by far the most involved and complicated injury/surgery I’ve ever had.

My support team for the emotional, psychological, and physical aspects of this surgery and recovery are phenomenal. From an amazing medical care team to my friends and family to my own intention of creating some great art. What I really need help with is the financial piece of the puzzle for living expenses and lost wages. I’m asking you to please help me to your best ability.
