Help Amy Green Honor Her Mother's Memory

Donation protected
I have reluctantly decided to do this GoFundMe in hopes of getting some help with my sweet momma's final expenses. Sadly, on October 30, 2025, we lost our beautiful mother to this awful disease called cancer (squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue). It's a form of head and neck cancer and one of the most painful forms of cancer (no, she was not a smoker). She fought so hard for over two years. We thought she would get better and be healed. We prayed for her diligently along with family and friends, but in June, she learned the cancer had returned and was even more aggressive this time around. Over the past few months, she grew weaker and weaker. She had surgery to place a feeding tube in August, then in September, she had to have a trachea tube placed because the tumor almost completely closed her airway. This disease took away her ability to eat, drink, breathe normally, talk, and hear. We haven't heard our mother's sweet voice in almost two months after her trach was placed. She couldn't even voice what she wanted to say to us in her last moments, even though she tried so hard. To watch her transition so drastically in just a few months has been devastating. After two surgeries to remove tumors, chemo, radiation, alternative treatments, and two years of endless pain, ultimately, the Lord decided to call her home so she could receive complete healing. Our hearts are shattered. Nothing could've prepared us for this loss... although she's been sick for a while... this loss feels sudden. We truly had faith that she would be with us much longer. Just this past summer, she was still out in the yard doing what she loved, mowing and putting up her decorations even though she didn't feel well. The picture attached to the top of this page was just last March on her 65th birthday. She was happy and vibrant that day, and now she is gone. Thankfully, we have peace and comfort knowing she is no longer suffering.

I know some people frown upon those who use fundraising for help with final expenses. Yes, everyone should have life insurance if they can afford to. Unfortunately, mom did not, and now here we are. I know this is a difficult time for everyone... especially with the holidays coming up, so I'm forever grateful to anyone who can help us. Even a small amount will mean so much. And if you can't help with a donation, that's ok... just please consider keeping us in your prayers during this time.

Thank you in advance,
Amy Green and family
