Hello slo community!!! I am trying to raise money for my dear friend, Amy, who is a single mom battling stage four colon cancer. This is not Amy's first go around with cancer, as she was diagnosed for the first time with colon cancer back in 2020. Earlier last year, the cancer metastasized, and spread to her ovaries and abdomen. She underwent surgery to have a large tumor removed at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, and has been undergoing chemo and immunotherapy therapy for the last year. 

Amy is a mom of three amazing children who are her whole world! Two are out of the house and living life, and Jesse “6” is at home with Amy. Amy has Jesse in a hybrid school program, and gets to spend ample time with Jesse and be a big part of his education. Her kids are one of her biggest motivators and her whole reason for living. This has been extremely difficult for Jesse, her 6 year old, to comprehend why his mom is sick. Even when Amy isn't feeling good, she always puts her all into being a mom. She is truly one of the most selfless people I know.

She is still in treatment and has undergone a lot of medical setbacks during this last year. The latest tumor had her also needing a hysterectomy and appendectomy. She has also been in the hospital a week with a blood staph infection, and had other hardships that have affected her ability to work over the last year. Amy is 45 and has been going through all the ups and downs of cancer for the last four years now. She’s tough and fighting, and so far persevering through this tough chapter. Any help, gives her more time to heal, be home with her son, and get through this difficult time in her life until she is well enough to get on her feet again. Funds will go towards helping her pay rent, medical expenses, monthly utilities/bills, and supporting Jesse while she is not able to work.
