On December 17, 2025, life took an unexpected turn for our dear friend, Amy Phillips. A bad fall left her with a severely broken arm — the kind of injury that doesn’t just hurt physically, but turns everyday life upside down. Since that day, Amy hasn’t been able to work, and even simple things like getting dressed, cooking, or driving have become a challenge.

Amy is scheduled for surgery on January 13, 2026, and while we’re grateful she has a path toward healing, the costs are overwhelming. Her out-of-pocket expenses alone are $9,000, not counting the weeks of recovery that will keep her out of work. Like so many people, Amy works hard, lives modestly, and doesn’t have a safety net big enough for something like this.

If you know Amy, you know she’s the first to show up — with a meal, a hug, a joke, or a listening ear. She never asks for help, even when she needs it most. That’s why we’re asking on her behalf.

Our goal is to not only cover her $9,000 medical costs, but also raise a little extra to help with rent, groceries, utilities, and other basic needs while she focuses on healing and getting back on her feet.
