AMY UPDATE: 7-5-21

PLEASE PRAY

As many of you know six and a half years ago, Amy was diagnosed with brain cancer. Together we made the decision to monitor it and try to live our lives as our Lord would want us to live it and not have surgery at that time.

The past six and a half years have been absolutely incredible. We have had the opportunity to travel all over this country. Preach in numerous Churches. Minister to hundreds of people and really live life to the fullest.

About six months ago, Amy's health began to deteriorate. Her quality of life began to go down hill at a pretty rapid pace. All along this journey we have had to deal with certain aspects of her health that just were not real fun, but Amy was always able to bounce back from every event. This time it is different.

In April, Amy collapsed with no warning. We took her to the ER where they discovered that her brain tumor was bleeding, but it was also changing. It was recommended to us, that surgery should be done. After much prayer, we determined that surgery was for sure the option that was needed.

Over the past few months, Amy has had numerous special MRI's, CAT scans, Cognitive tests, Lab work, Doctors visits and so on. All to help the surgeons figure out how to resect this tumor with as little damage to Amy as possible.

Amy's surgery is a week from today. July 12th. She will be going in early in the morning. The surgery should take 4 to 6 hours. She will be in the neuro-ICU for about 4 days. Then either go home or stay in the Hospital for a few more days depending on how she is doing. Post Op recovery will be anywhere between 2 to 4 months.

This surgery is pretty serious. The tumor is sitting in a spot, that could be detrimental to Amy's well being if removed incorrectly. We are absolutely impressed with the team of Doctors that are going to be doing the surgery. Its almost as if God brought us to Albuquerque so that Amy could have the best surgeons do this particular surgery.

We would sure appreciate your prayers in this matter. Pray for Gods will to be done. Pray for Amy's peace and well being. Pray that through all of this God would receive the glory for everything. It is time to have this surgery, and we are trusting our Lord in whatever the outcome is.

I will try to give reports after the surgery. Our Daughter Clara will be here with us, so she may give some reports as well.

Thank you so much for your care and concern and especially the prayers. Thank you to those of you that allowed us to enter into your lives over the course of these past six and a half years. You are very special to us.
