Amy was diagnosed with cancer in June and in July she underwent three major surgeries - Hemi Glossectomy, Mandibulotomy, and a Bilateral Neck Dissection.

In order to excise the cancer, her surgeons removed the right half of her tongue and 115 lymph nodes, 5 of which were cancerous. Miraculously, doctors were able to reconstruct her tongue using donor tissue from her forearm.

In October she started 7 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. All of these events have taken a massive toll on her physically and she has

been unable to work since June 9th 2023.
