Help Amy and Kevin Rebuild After Hurricane Helene and Milton

Hello friends, family, and colleagues of Amy & Kevin,

Once again Mother Nature has destroyed Amy's

house with Hurricane Helene pushing 4ft of water into the entire house; and now Hurricane Milton taking out the windows. In 2020, during COVID Amy’s house flooded with Hurricane Eta - she recovered and rebuilt. Then in 2023, Amy’s house flooded with Hurricane Idalia and 2 ft of water in her house. She recovered and rebuilt with Kevin’s help. She has been funding much of the restoration herself as her insurance only covers structure and not contents. Now a year later, they have lost literally everything due to the extent of water in their house with the exception of the items they evacuated with and the few personal things they were able to salvage. Both friends and strangers have helped with time to empty the contents of their entire house to the curb. It will take several months and hundreds of thousands of dollars to recover and rebuild this time. If you know Amy and Kevin, they are hard working young adults who are very generous with their time giving to others. Every dollar you can afford to donate will help them recover, rebuild and put their lives back together. At this point, all of their walls are cut down to the studs 6ft high; all of the contents has been put on the curb; they are living with family in Sarasota and trying to manage this devastation from afar and driving back and forth. The next steps are dealing with insurance and FEMA, drying out, sterilizing the studs and floors, go through inspections and make hard decisions to rebuild or tear down and rebuild up on stilts. In the end, it’s going to cost a lot to rebuild and refurnish. Please donate what you can…
