Amy's Story: Restarting After the Eaton Canyon Fire
Amy has lived in Altadena for more than 25 years. Her home was a place where she built a life with her dog KC and became a familiar face in the community. Amy works in public health, and outside of her job, she's been an active part of local youth sports, organizing and coaching soccer teams for many years. She's also a proud soccer player in the Adult Soccer League in Pasadena and Duarte.
But everything changed when the Eaton Canyon Fire swept through her area, destroying her home. Amy and KC had to evacuate quickly, losing nearly everything in the blaze—her house, personal belongings, and a lifetime of memories. Now staying with friends, Amy is facing the overwhelming task of figuring out her next steps. The fire has left her with little, but she's grateful to be safe and have the support of those around her. While the road ahead is uncertain, Amy's focus is on moving forward and restarting, step by step. Please consider making a donation and know that any amount makes a big difference. Thank you for your generosity and support!
This fundraiser is being coordinated by Linda Aragon and Carol Casey, two of Amy's friends. Funds will be used to provide basic household needs as she finds a more long-term place to stay.
