Help Amy and Kaylee in Their Time of Need
Donation protected
Amy is in need of her community to give the way she has always given back. Times are difficult, and she needs financial assistance to get her through this trying time.
Amy is and has always been that rare type of person that dedicates herself to giving to others. I met Amy back in 2015 as coworkers at our local Family Resource Center. We instantly bonded over our mutual experience of being married to service members experiencing severe PTSD. What I learned about Amy while working with her is that she is fearless, strong, kind, giving, loyal, honest, and dedicated to those she loves, even when she has to sacrifice her own needs and health to help others.
The last several years have been difficult for Amy and her daughter Kaylee. After a difficult divorce, they moved to Kentucky so that Amy could care for her mother, whose health was failing. Amy worked nights while caring for her mother during the day all while also being an amazing mother to her growing daughter. A little over a year ago, Amy's mother passed away. As she was grieving the loss of her mother, she never stopped moving forward to make sure her daughter is safe and well cared for. I've never known Amy to put herself first. She always thinks of those around her and what they need and, without hesitation, will do what is necessary no matter how it might impact her own needs.
This past year, Amy has faced her biggest challenge yet, having gotten diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the last several months, she has endured multiple surgeries, the last one as of less than two weeks ago. The ongoing surgeries have made it impossible for Amy to work as her body, mind, and spirit need time to heal.
On the evening of July 19th, 2025, Amy received the news that her ex-husband had passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. The news has shaken her and her daughter and is another huge mountain she will surely climb with dignity and strength as she navigates the impact of the father of her daughter's passing.
Funds to help Amy continue to care for her daughter, pay bills, fund travel to Colorado to pick up her daughter and go to the memorial services, pay for food and gas, and any other incidental essentials are what Amy needs now. It is her time to receive and be blessed by those she has so willingly helped without hesitation.
